We have been supporting educational, cultural, academic, social and health care initiatives since 2006. In 2007 we received the ‘Benefactor of the year 2007’ award for the ‘„ BGŻ Class ”program.
The BGŻ Foundation undertakes activities that are based on the bank’s responsibility as a public trust institution for the development of local societies in which the bank operates. The Foundation was especially called forth for:
- Carrying out social benefit activities, including undertaking and supporting initiatives in the area of educational, cultural, academic, social and health care development.
- Supporting and promoting initiatives aimed at increasing the social level of education, especially leveling out the chances for intellectual, educational and professional development of talented young people from various backgrounds, especially regions touched by poverty.
- Supporting voluntary work and promoting these types of activities in the banking and financial sector.
The Foundation was called forth by means of a notary act on May 29, 2006 and was registered in the National Court Registry on July 11, 2006.
The Foundation also supports the „ BGŻ Class” project which aims at enabling talented young people
from rural and less well off area to study in renown high schools.
